Set out below are the terms and conditions by which Sonic Carz Epsom conducts its business with the Client (Account Holder), The Passenger or Passengers (the person/people travelling) and the booker (the person booking the journeys). Sonic Carz Epsom reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions of trading without notice.
Sonic Carz Epsom set out to provide a safe and reliable service to all of its customers.
We will always try to be fair and reasonable to our customers and promote goodwill where possible.
Transport of Goods
All parcels, packages and goods are taken at customer’s own risk. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate cover is in place for goods in transit.Whilst we exercise all due care and consideration to carry out Client/or Passenger instruction we will not be liable for any incidence or loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable contr
Damage To Company Property/Vehicle
In the unfortunate event that a passenger may vomit (or other biological substances)or damage the car purposefully with any substances, chemicals or toxins, the passenger is fully liable for a full valet on the said vehicle. Soiling of the vehicle renders it unusable for a period of time, at personal cost of earning to the driver, and loss of revenue for the company. The cost for this is £50.00 and the company will pursue payment in respect of this.
Consumption Of Food & Drinks/Smoking
The consumption of any foodstuffs or beverages of any kind are Prohibited in our vehicles. This ensures your comfort, and that of the customers after you! Smoking is strictly prohibited by Drivers and Customers.
Right to Refusal
Sonic Carz Epsom reserve the right to refuse to carry any persons or objects that the driver deems likely to cause him or his vehicle harm or damage in whatsoever form. The judgement of the driver will be final.
All quotes, where given are approximate to an estimate of miles and time incurred by driver and type of vehicle required to do a specific journey.
We will calculate fares based upon mileage incurred, time and out of pocket expenditure. The charge rate will vary according to the type of vehicle/service required for the journey.
We operate ‘fixed rates’ for journeys to and from local areas, and also to the London airports and most London postcodes.
Most journeys are quoted travelling via the shortest routes. If the route varies from this, e.g. by the request from the Customer to use a motorway route of the driver has to avoid a traffic related problem, Sonic Carz reserve the right to charge the Client for any extra mileage and time.
We reserve the right to apply a surcharge to:
1. Out of area journeys, airports and station pick ups
2. Christmas, New Year and other Bank Holiday journeys
3. Additional stops en route
4. Periods of extreme weather or road conditions.
Sonic Carz Epsom assumes a journey is valid until:
1. A passenger or someone deemed to be representing the Passenger cancels the booking with a member of staff in the offices of Sonic Carz Epsom and receives confirmation by the member of staff that it is cancelled.
2. Our driver and/or supporting staff have satisfied themselves that they are unable to pick the Passenger up for whatsoever reason.
Until then we will take all reasonable care to complete the booking.
In the event of a cancellation of a journey, Sonic Carz Epsom may charge for any costs incurred until the time when it is apparent that Sonic Carz have been satisfactorily informed of a cancellation of the booking or Sonic Carz Epsom have been unable to contact the Passenger. Usually there is no charge for a journey cancelled prior to despatch.
Where the driver is unable to find the Passenger after making all reasonable efforts the Client may be charged.
Where a Client or Passenger gives incorrect information regarding the pick up or place or time or other relevant detail that results in a cost to our driver, the Client may be liable for a cancellation charge.
A cancellation charge is calculated to pay for the time and miles and incidental costs or our driver when he is unable to pick up a passenger.
Where a driver has to wait beyond the appointed time to collect a passenger, whether it is the fault of the Passenger or Client or arises from circumstances beyond their control, the Client will be liable to pay Sonic Carz Epsom for the waiting time. This is currently set at 30 pounds per hour.
We will try to carry out a journey in a way that the Passenger requests, e.g. route variation unless we have written instructions not do so by the Account Holder.
Security of the Account
It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that this facility is not abused.
The Account will be set up with minimal security measures unless the Client specifies their requirements in writing. (To establish those who have access to this facility in the name of the Account Holder).
The Client will be eligible to pay for all bookings made on the account.
The Client undertakes to pay invoices within the terms on the account.
Overdue amounts will incur a DAILY CHARGE of 5% which will be added to the account.
Detailed invoices can be compiled, specifying each drop and pick up, time and date, unless otherwise specified by the Client.
